Our ceramic pieces are made primarily of clay, a natural material that becomes hard and durable when fired. Common types of clay include earthenware, stoneware, and porcelain. Additives like grog or sand may be included to improve strength and texture. Ceramics are often coated with glazes made of silica, fluxes, and colorants to create a smooth, decorative, and water-resistant finish. After shaping, the pieces are fired in a kiln to achieve their final form.
